Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs mostly 5.00 to 8.00 higher. There were not enough feeder lambs for an adequate market test. Slaughter ewes mostly 10.00 to 12.00 higher. Slaughter bucks mostly steady. Kids goats steady on a very thin test. Nannies/doe goats mostly steady. Billies and wethers no price trend available due to limited comparable sales. Trading activity was moderate with moderate to good demand. In the sheep supply about 43 percent slaughter ewes and bucks, 46 percent slaughter lambs, 3 percent feeder lambs, and the balance bottle lambs and misc. replacement stock. The goat supply consisted of 35 percent kids, 60 percent nannies, and the balance billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
