Compared to last week: Receipts reduced because of Easter and conditions remain very wet and muddy in parts of the state. Feeder cattle steady to 2.00 lower in a light test. Steer and heifer calves mostly steady. Demand moderate. Quality mostly average. A year ago this week does not coincide with the Easter week of this year as the holiday was later. Last year’s Easter holiday sale had receipts of just over 4,100 head. Supply included 78 percent over 600 lbs; 41 percent heifers.
