Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/01/2012
Receipts: 850 Last Week: 773 Year Ago: No sale due to storm
Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves 6.00-12.00 higher.
Feeder cattle not well tested but representative sales steady to firm.
Demand very good for calves, moderate to good for light supply of feeders. Overall quality of offerings plain to average with a few good quality calves offered. Rain and hail hit the trade area this morning but cleared up quickly. More rain is forecast for the state and this should benefit wheat pastures. Supply included 50 percent heifers and 10 percent cattle over 600 lbs.
