Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady. Steer calves steady to 2.00 lower; heifer calves steady to 2.00 higher. Demand moderate for steers and steer calves; moderate to good for heifers. Quality average to attractive, end plain. Some thin fleshed cattle already heading to grass accounts. Weigh-ups average to full, few gaunt. Dry conditions continue, however central Oklahoma wheat remains damp and still in fairly good condition. Cattle futures closed today because of the holiday and this had feeder buyers starting the day cautiously.
