2.00-4.00 higher. Offerings over 600 pounds not fully established. Trade and demand moderate to good.
Although several areas have reported minimal rainfall, drought conditions persist across the state. Consignments were more attractive this week, as several big bunches of calves were sold. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher, with no adequate test on slaughter bulls. Demand moderate to good. Slaughter cows made up 28 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, and 71 percent feeders. Feeder supply consisted of
50 percent feeder steers and bulls, 50 percent feeder heifers. Approximately 11 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
